Angie Jackson Ladies Downwind Clinic - West Oz Downwind Week

Angie Jackson is Australia's top female SUP paddler. She has represented Australia and won gold at the ISA World Championships. She is also undefeated in Australia's premier Downwind race - The King of the Cut.

"I am a big believer in promoting women's sup. It's such an amazing sport and its wonderful to watch and teach women get out there and get involved."

This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best female paddlers in the world. Angie will take 20 ladies through the basics of paddling technique and the specifics of downwind paddling. The clinic is aimed at all levels, but specifically those that are keen to improve their ocean downwinding. The session will be held just before and during the Port2Starboard Paddle (entry for this event is included in the price for the Angie Jackson Clinic).

The session will comprise of :

1. Onshore theory and technique

2. On the water practical session - catching runners

3. 7km Downwind run with on the water coaching

Schedule

1000-1130 Meet at Swanbourne Surf Life Saving Club to register for Clinic and Port2Starboard.

1130 Make your way to Sand Trax beach North Fremantle - limited board transport available

1200 Clinic starts

1330 Ship2Shore start - on the wtaer coaching during the Port2Starboard DW run
