SUPWA is a grassroots organisation that relies on the support of everyday paddlers. Membership offers a range of benefits to paddlers. It supports the association which can organise, promote and advocate for our great sport on a state and national level. It provides a framework by which events both competitive and social can be organised. Membership is a requirement to enter in state and national events for SUP surfing, racing and officiating roles. Members have access to a network of highly experienced paddlers who can provide advice on all aspects of the sport (i.e. equipment, skills, fitness, travel, safety). Join any of the training pods in Perth and in regional areas. Board storage facilities are available SOR at Hurricanes Outrigger Club for an annual fee. Membership cards must be shown to receive the membership discount at participating partners.
It is necessary that all WA paddlers and officials are a current SUPWA member and also a Surfing WA (SWA) member to enter and be covered by Personal Accident Insurance at SUPWA and Surfing WA managed events and organised pod training sessions. Insurance is provided by Surfing WA.
