Four Check Pts: See map in rego [portage & light check at Narrows]
Finish: Ascot Kayak Club
Ascot Waters may change due to high water

Must race in pairs or team boats, no solo
Relay option available, change at Narrows
Car shuffle required between Riverton and Ascot

$35.00 all entrants includes dinner & music at Ascot

CLASS RULES
Categories: Open, Veteran (45+), Mixed, Relay Team
Age applies on 5-3-17, Pair must both be in age category or enter in “Open”
No Junior categories, if accepted they race as ‘Open’. Participants must be 16+ on 5-3-17
Competitors under 18 must have parent permission. All juniors must wear PFD
Evidence of previous distance event required (ie Avon, Marathons etc.)
SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Obligatory Lights: 360deg white light [glow sticks to be provided as back-up]
Obligatory Extras: Phones, Number slots, Enough buoyancy for capsize
Recommended: PFDs, Scissors for fishing line

Riverton:
4.00 pm Registration Opens (Note: No race entries at registration – must enter online)
5.00 pm Race Briefing – All participants must be present
5.30 pm Race Starts – 5 min grid intervals, slower teams first
Narrows [SUPs]:
5.00 pm Registration Opens
6.00pm Race Briefing
6.30pm Race Start
Ascot [at end]:
8:20 pm First paddlers due at finish line
8.00 pm Food available
9.30 pm Presentations and Prize giving [will take place even if some racers not finished]
IMPORTANT EVENT RULES
All single craft participants must paddle in pairs (within 3 boat lengths at all times)
Any loss of or damage to craft and/or equipment is sole responsibility of the entrant
All participants must attend race briefing
