ascot Kayak Club - Garvey Park Ascot, Western Australia

SUP Central 2016 Flatwater20 Extravaganza

The 2016 Event is formatted to allow paddlers of all ages and abilities to participate and witness the incredible endurance and abilities of Western Australia’s elite SUP race paddlers, as they compete for state titles and prepare to take on the world’s best in the upcoming Doctor and world renowned King of The Cut events.

The event is held in the upper reaches of the Swan River, Belmont Waters at the Ascot Kayak Club and is sure to attract large numbers so don’t miss the first event on SUPWA’s 2016 Racing Calendar.

For the first time the FW20 will have a PaddleLoop style format. The 3 person teams will nominate their total time for the 15km course (each paddler either doing a 5km lap or electing to form a 3 person "drafting train" to compelete the course). So you can "Race it or Cruise it!". Fantastic event for paddlers that enjoy the monthly 4km PaddleLoops - the 5km distance is very achievable and in the beautiful sheltered surrounds of Ascot waters
