  Formally known as the Fig2Fig, The Shorehouse Ship 2 Shore is a celebration of Stand Up Paddle (SUP) proudly presented by Starboard. This participation event is unique as it embraces all Skill levels and gives the opportunity to paddle in a large controlled group. SUP professionals will chaperone those less experienced down the 7km course From Port beach to Swanbourne offering guidance along the way. For the more experienced paddlers come and race for the perpetual trophy and glory. Experience the thrill of ocean paddling and then celebrate your achievements and meet other SUPpers at the post event function at the new Shorehouse. Entry includes annual event t-shirt, after event drinks and nibbles at a small cost and the chance to make friends with other paddlers. You can bask in the glory of possibly winning; Youngest Competitor, Oldest Competitor, Best Wipeout and a perpetual award for Fastest Male and Female competitor!  Registration will be taking place from 10am through till noon at the Shorehouse in Swanbourne. Event briefing will take place at 12.30pm with a 1.30pm start to the race to allow adequate vehicle drops and board shuffles up to Port Beach, Fremantle.  $35 for SUPWA members and $50 non-members. Great value with food and quality event T'shirt included. Make sure you invite friends and family to watch you finish and enjoy the after event function.

SUP Central 2016 Flatwater20 Extravaganza   The 2016 Event is formatted to allow paddlers of all ages and abilities to participate and witness the incredible endurance and abilities of Western Australia’s elite SUP race paddlers, as they compete for state titles and prepare to take on the world’s best in the upcoming Doctor and world renowned King of The Cut events.   The event is held in the upper reaches of the Swan River, Belmont Waters at the Ascot Kayak Club and is sure to attract large numbers so don’t miss the first event on SUPWA’s 2016 Racing Calendar.   For the first time the FW20 will have a PaddleLoop style format. The 3 person teams will nominate their total time for the 15km course (each paddler either doing a 5km lap or electing to form a 3 person "drafting train" to compelete the course). So you can "Race it or Cruise it!". Fantastic event for paddlers that enjoy the monthly 4km PaddleLoops - the 5km distance is very achievable and in the beautiful sheltered surrounds of Ascot waters     Team Event 15km – 3 legs (any board length greater than 10') 3 Paddlers consisting  2male + 1 female minimum - can be all female Total team age – 3 categories awarded Total Team under 100 Total Team Under 120 Total Team Over 120 All teams will submit a nominated time for the total distance with prizes awrded for the closest time. Teams are to select a captain who is to contact the team events manager for event rules. Can all use the same board or 3 separate boards. Paddlers that don't have full team can contact the teams event manager (Sue Collins - secretary@supwa.com.au) to get organised into one.     20 Km State Title (14' Board) U/40 Men U/40 Female Over 40 Male Over 40 Female Over 50 Male   State Championship medals and trophies will be awarded to Solo categories. Open Elite Category will be first 3 paddlers across the line in female and male regardless of age group. Age division prizes will be awarded to age group paddlers finishing outside the top 3. At least 4 paddlers are required to form a division - age group divisions will be combined otherwise.   Registration/Bib Number - 0730  Race briefing - 0800 Race Start - 0830 Presentations immdiately after the final competitor finishes.   *The FW20 is one of the state selection SUPWA events. It is recommended that those athletes looking at state selection for the 2016 marathon team should attend this event. Supporting the racing community, assists in developing new paddlers to our sport.

It's a special one with our WOW, Women On Water clinic to be held after the paddle loop, pick up some great paddling tips from the States best. We will also have a sup yoga demonstration to keep you chilled.  After all this a bbq with a gold coin donation if you like :-) This will be our last loop for the year as we have other events scheduled for November & December. It's a free event for SUPWA members or $3 to non members by putting in your nominated time for either distance: 1. The Long Loop - 4.2km (below 30mins is a good time for strong paddler) 2. Short Loop - 2.2km (below 15mins is a good time for a strong paddler) All board lengths and types are welcome - whether you have a SUP Surf or race board. It isn't a race, but about having fun. Nominate a time that you think you will achieve - next Paddle Loop try and beat that time. The trick is to paddle consistently at a speed you feel comfortable with - which is entirely up to you! The winner is the person closest to their nominated time. Receive a great SUPWA T'shirt - also the top 3 paddlers (closest to their time) receive Pod Points for their Pod. Our last paddle loop for the year is a great opportunity to get involved with the very friendly SUPWA community and develop your SUP paddling with our WOW clinic & SUP Yoga demonstration. Get some tips & most of all have fun. The paddle loop is open to all levels and all ages. (kids under 10 should be accompanied by an adult around the course). Action Sports WA Bridge the Bank

Action Sports WA 2015 Bridge the Bank. To all competitors, COURSE DIRECTION. This years event looks to be run in great conditions with a gentle SE to ESE breeze being predicted. With this wind direction we will be running the event from Swan Yacht Club to The Narrows, with the changeover at Point Walter bank.  This means the shorter leg of the race will be paddled first. REGISTRATION. On-line registration closes at 7.00pm Saturday 19th September. We will be unable to take entries on the day of the event. SIGN IN Sign in will open at 8.00am at Swan Yacht Club Riverside Rd, Preston Point, E Fremantle. The sign in point will be on the east side of the clubs boat ramp. You will be supplied with your race number at this point. Please be early so that we can process all competitors before the briefing. BRIEFING. The briefing will be held at 8.45am , alongside the registration point. The start time will be 9.00am sharp. SAFETY All competitors are required to wear a legrope/leash whilst competing in this event. Life jackets and PFD's are not compulsory but can be worn if so desired by the competitor. There will be two rescue boats in attendance during the event. LOGISTICS  Please organise with your paddling partner your transport logistics. Remember you will be changing paddlers at Point Walter Bank and the race will be finishing on the east side of The Narrows on the South Perth foreshore. Make sure you're at the finish to cheer your teammate over the line. PRESENTATIONS Presentations will be held at Swan Yacht Club in the outdoors alfresco area at approximately 12.45pm.  Free finger food will be available for competitors with meals and drinks also available from the club at great prices. If you have requested a partner but have not yet received an email with their contact details, we will be in contact with you as soon as we have someone available. If we are unable to match all paddlers to a partner, don't worry you will still be able to compete and there will be prizes available for this division. So make sure you still come along. Aloha Spirit Award

The Aloha Spirit Award is a special award to the person the SUP community feels represents the values of SUP in WA. Duke Kahanamoku was a Hawiian legend credited with spreading surfing around the world. He was also a 5 times Olympic medalist, but more so, was regarded as the embodiment of "Aloha Spirit" - acceptence and kindness, working to grow our sport without personal gain. The award is voted upon by you the SUPWA members and can go to any SUPWA member. The award will be presented at the Annual Dinner. Voting will close on Wednesday the 20th of August 2016. To vote click on "Buy Tickets" on the right hand of this page and follow prompts to "purchase one ticket". You will then come a page with a text box labled "Aloha Award Recipient" - enter the name of the SUPWA member there.

The 2015 SUPWA Annual Dinner Come and join us to celebrate the close of the 2014-15 season and welcome the 2015-16 season at SUPWA HQ at the Swan Yacht Club. Great night to catch up with the friendly SUP community and take part in the inaugural SUP Trivia Quiz. Awards for most improved male and female, PaddleLoop champion, announcemnt of state team, presentation of the Aloha Award for 2015 and the Champion Pod for 2015. All ticket sales online. $10 covers finger food, bar menu available for dinner. It should be a great night. AGM is at 6:30pm for those that can attend Annual Dinner starts from 7:30pm with SUP Trivia at 7:45pm. see you there!
